I mean, what am I doing lawyering around HERE when I could lawyer in Spring Break USA and work for the Boone & Davis firm?
I suppose they need a Ft Lauderdale personal injury lawyer just like they need personal injury lawyers everywhere else, given that people probably get into accidents in Ft Lauderdale, too. They certainly get into accidents around here, and every other place I've ever been.
And you know what amazes me? People get into accidents and they then figure they don't need a lawyer. It's weird being a lawyer -- it's the ONLY professional job in the world that people think they can do themselves. Probably because it doesn't look like lawyers are doing much. People see doctors at work and there's blood and anesthesia and spleens, but lawyers at work just have books and paper and a lot of talking, so everyone thinks "Oh, sure, I can do that."
But you can't -- a good PI lawyer knows things that you don't. He knows things like what the statute of limitations is for your claims, and how to file a lawsuit and have it served. He knows things like when underinsured and uninsured motorist coverage kicks in. He knows things like how interpretations of obscure insurance policy clauses can help or hurt you -- like if there's a clause the other side is going to rely on to deny coverage to their driver, so you'll have to to look to the driver himself to pay you, and he's going to file bankruptcy, so you've got a bad back now and no money.
Insurance companies have lawyers - -they work right in their offices, so even if you think you're just dealing with a claims adjuster and she seems nice, there's a lawyer back at the insurance company telling her what to do. Would you fight someone else on uneven terms? Would you go into a boxing ring and not wear those gloves? Would you get into the batter's box without a bat? Why fight a lawyer without your own lawyer?
Whenever youre dealing with legal issues, it's important to have someone that knows what's going on. And those Fort Lauderdale lawyers I mentioned -- the Boone & Davis firm - -have 25 years of experience litigating these cases.
And they help pay for them, too: Cases cost money, after all, and Boone & Davis has the financial ability to pay for medical records and expert witnesses and depositions and subpoenas and the rest, covering you while you get healthy and then get your settlement or award.
So don't go it alone -- get some experienced help. And if you hire Boone & Davis, put in a good word for me. I'm getting sick of winter.
