Roll Call Of Shame is going to list those Democrats who became Republicans by voting to cut spending without even trying to raise taxes or support social programs in the Debt Debacle of 2011. Compromise is not a principle, and it's not compromise to let Republicans soak the middle class while letting millionaires refuse to pay taxes.
First up:
Nancy Pelosi: as Minority leader and former Speaker, Pelosi carries significant authority with her in D.C., making her vote for the Debt Debacle somehow seem worse than other Fake Democrats' votes.
Why'd Pelosi vote for it? Who knows? Here's what she said about her vote:
We cannot allow our seniors and veterans to be caught in the collateral damage of the assault on the middle class that is being waged in this Congress.
Then she voted yes, anyway, for a debt deal who some experts say will ultimately cost veterans their medical benefits.
So, Nancy Pelosi -- you decided that veterans shouldn't be caught in the collateral damage, but that it was better to set up our military to have no health care after they get shot defending the country?
I hope you lose your next election, Nancy. And that you then lose your health care.

The problem in the two-party system is that if you don't vote for the Democrats you have to vote for the Republicans, who are even worse. As far as this "compromise" goes it seems the Republicans got most of what they wanted. I think they've figured out that they can just whine and scream like toddlers and that eventually the Democrats will give them what they want to shut them up. They should remember that appeasement didn't work with Hitler and it's not going to work here either. The more you give them, the more they're going to want.
